Greetings! Nancy Neon here . This is an open letter to the bands,etc.. Because we are having 8 bands in a relatively short space of time, it is IMPERATIVE that we have a backline. The club provides a bass amp. It is Ampeg BA-115, 100 watts,15" speaker. There is also a guitar amp. It is a Fender Ultimate Chorus, a 100 Watt Solid State Amp with 2 12" speakers.

Danny McCarthy of The Varmints will provide the drum set. Drummers need to bring their own snare and crash cymbal. Billy Borgioli of The Varmints will provide his Fender black face Proreverb amp. The Varmints' Freddie Evicci
will provide his amp(details provided on request).So,just bring your guitars! Thanks to Mickey Bliss, the Cantab, and The Varmints for providing the backline! Also all load ins and load outs must be through the back door.

While Judy Wilburn(who is working with me on this endeavor) and I would really love to have an extravanganza with sympatico DJS as well as archivists showing films from The Rat and bands that played there, with only minutes between bands, it's just not practical. Instead Judy is burning some CDs of our Rat faves.

Also I want to make a very serious request to the bands. If possible, please come at the beginning and stay until the end. Lately at my NEON NITES and at other promoters' events , I've noticed quite a few bands who "HIT IT AND QUIT IT".Since this is a special event, I'm hoping all the bands will stick around to support each other.This is our music community and if we can't be around to cheer each other on,how can we expect the general public to support these events?

Frank Strom is designing a cool poster for the event which should be available here fairly soon. In the interim, bands who are doing their own promo will note that the cover charge for this show is a great bargain at $10. In closing, thanks to Judy, Frank, and all the bands who are participating. We are encouraging people to bring pictures and to share their memories. This should be an absolute blast!
